Using a robust dual-chip architecture—featuring two MCP2515 CAN controllers and two SN65HVD230 CAN transceivers—the board interfaces via the Raspberry Pi’s SPI bus, bypassing host CPU bottlenecks. Both channels are engineered with unibody power isolation and high-voltage optocoupler signal isolation, preventing ground loops, electrical noise, and high-voltage spikes on the CAN bus from damaging your host Raspberry Pi board.
