Description

The Adafruit LIS3DH breakout is a feature filled, low power, accelerometer that is configurable to several ranges of sensitivity. This accelerometer chipset is commonly found in a lot of commercial products so Adafruit has thrown together a convenient breakout board to test and experiment with it! The LIS3DH sensor has multiple data rate options ranging from 1Hz to 5Khz and has ?2g , ?4g , ?8g , or ?16g selectable scaling. The sensor communicates using I2C (2 address available) or SPI and is both 5V and 3.3V logic compatible. It can be mounted using the two 2.5mm mounting holes and includes a small chunk of breakaway header if you are using this with a breadboard or perfboard.

In addition to all of this, there are also 3 extra 10 bit precision analog to digital pins available that can be read over I2C.
Please Note:?As of December 2020 we are now carrying the updated version of this sensor. Adafruit has updated this to be STEMMA QT and Qwiic compatible ?? that means there??s now an easy way to plug-and-play this sensor without any soldering!
