The UNO R3 CH340G Development Board is a budget-friendly, high-performance variant of the classic UNO R3 board layout. Built around the surface-mount (SMD) ATmega328P microcontroller, this board replaces the expensive USB interface IC with the widely supported CH340G USB-to-Serial chip. This modification delivers identical computational performance and full compatibility with the official Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, and Scratch at a fraction of the cost.
Operating on 5V DC logic, the board can be powered via a USB Type-B port or an external 7V–12V DC power supply plugged into the onboard 2.1mm barrel jack. A distinct feature of this CH340G SMD variant is the inclusion of extra solder pads next to each digital, analog, power, and I2C header row, allowing maker enthusiasts to solder wires directly or add male/female headers for custom sensor wiring.
