Description

The GP2Y1010AU0F PM2.5 Optical Dust Sensor is a tiny, highly sensitive air quality monitoring module designed to detect airborne dust, pollen, allergen particles, and smoke in real time. Built around a diagonal optical chamber containing an Infrared LED and a Phototransistor detector, the sensor utilizes light scattering to convert particulate matter concentration into an analog voltage output.

When fine particles pass through the central air passage hole, the IR light scatters toward the phototransistor photodetector. The resulting signal pulse height corresponds directly to the particulate concentration. Due to its capability to distinguish fine smoke particles from coarse house dust, this sensor is widely used in commercial air purifiers, HVAC filtration controllers, and smart indoor environmental safety nodes.
